Service Integration @ BC Attorney General's Ministry

At the government of BC, I act as the Integrations Lead Developer at the Attorney General’s Ministry. In this role, I am responsible for a number of projects where I take on various roles:
- BCPARIS Integration service (project lead, manager)
- Operationalizing OpenShift (developer advocate)
- DEMS Integration Service (automations & modernization)
In my work at the Attorney General’s ministry, I have the following major goals:
- Develop leadership and management skills
Making delivery less slow in a process-heavy public-sector environment
- Participate in BC’s open source initiatives
- Improving efficiency and quality of BC’s public services
Bringing useful private-sector tooling to government, including automated processes, devops practices, and cloud infrastructure.
The work is mostly system plumbing. That is the point: public services depend on boring systems that move the right information to the right place without making people fight the software.
